Directorate General of Training (DGT) under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship offers the vocational training programs are delivered under Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) and Apprenticeship Training Scheme (ATS) are two pioneer programs for vocational training. The Drone Pilot Trade under CTS is one of the newly designed courses delivered nationwide through network of training institutes.

  • Our laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge drones, flight simulators, data acquisition tools, and software applications to provide a realistic learning environment. Students have access to a wide range of drone models, ensuring exposure to different configurations and capabilities. Drone pilots remotely control drones/unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which fly autonomously through software-controlled flight plans in their embedded systems working in conjunction with onboard sensors and GPS.

Our laboratory promotes the implementation of safety protocols, including pre-flight checks, airspace regulations, emergency procedures, and risk management strategies. Participants learn the importance of responsible drone use and the ethical considerations associated with drone technology.

  • Drone Pilot Carrer Opportunities:

  • Upon successful completion of the training program, students will enhance their employability skills and open doors to various career opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, construction, film production, surveying, and more. Drones can be used for real estate and event photography, filmmaking, journalism, agriculture (spraying, seeding, mapping), archaeological surveys, wildlife monitoring, and law enforcement surveillance. They also enable safe and efficient inspections of bridges, towers, wind turbines, power lines, pipelines, solar panels, and residential structures, providing real-time data and high-quality imaging for engineers and inspectors.

  • After successful completion of training, students can join drone industry as professional drone pilots and will progress further as Senior Drone Pilot,Supervisor and can rise up to the level of operation manager.
    They can also become Drone Entrepreneurs.
    They can work in a Drone service center or start own Drone Training Academy.
