VL-ZedBOARD : Zynq-7000 Development Board + (PMOD +PCAM)

About Product

The VL-ZedBOARD is a powerful development platform based on the AMD Zynq-7000 SoC, combining a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with FPGA fabric. It supports hardware–software co-design for embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal applications on a single platform. With rich I/O, PMOD expansion, and PCAM camera support, it is well suited for embedded vision, signal processing, and real-time control.

  • Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 with tightly coupled FPGA fabric.

  • Supports Linux, Android, Windows, and RTOS environments

  • Multiple PMOD interfaces for sensor, ADC/DAC, audio, and communication modules

  • High-speed Ethernet, USB OTG, SD card, HDMI, and VGA interfaces.

  • Integrated OLED display, audio codec, and user I/O (LEDs, switches, buttons)

  • PCAM support for embedded vision and image processing applications.

  • SoC: Zynq XC7Z020-1CSG484CES (ARM Cortex-A9 + FPGA)

  • Memory: 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM, 256 Mb QSPI Flash

  • Connectivity: Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 OTG, USB-UART, SD card

  • Expansion: 5 × PMOD headers, FMC LPC connector, AMS header

  • Display & Audio: HDMI, VGA (12-bit), 128×32 OLED, audio in/out

  • Clocking: 33.333 MHz (PS), 100 MHz (PL)

  • ARM–FPGA co-design: communication between Processing System and Programmable Logic

  • ADC/DAC interfacing using PMOD AD and DA modules.

  • Embedded Linux booting, device tree configuration, and peripheral control.

  • Audio signal acquisition and playback using I2S and amplifier PMODs.

  • Sensor interfacing (temperature, humidity) via I²C and SPI.

  • Camera interfacing and real-time image processing using PCAM module.
